This time around I will try and blog about other things that's going on in life ....including a host of topics I'm interesting in.... eg: fashion, life, family, and everything in between ..but, of course my main focus will be MALIK! can't eva loose site of him and his journey ....
Who watched the Celebrity Apprentice last nite? A lot of chatter on twitter is Holly Robinson-Peete shld have won .... Well, I think Bret Michaels actually showing up after having a stroke a few days b4 ...well..... ..but, Holly did a wonderful job... ..what did u think?
Did u c the episode where Sharon Osbourne was so emotional ...WOW .she blew me away ...Sharon was reiterating the fact that when something is going on/wrong w/ur child ...and u have to deal w/that reality everyday ...it's nothing that can compare .....while watching her I thought she so GETS IT! ...at times, I feel like ppl really don't have a clue what all this disorder entails.....the little things ppl wouldn't think twice about becomes a major decision ...no move is made in our lives w/o considering Malik!! no move ! .... ppl say oh yea I understand ...I feel 4 u guys ..but, like Sharon said until ur actually going thru that and experiencing that .... u really dont understand ....!!! This Autism thang is a yearly, monthly, weekly, daily part of our lives ...... I was just so refreshing to see someone admit that FACT! Sharon Osbourne also stated w/all of her business savy and money had one of her children had that diagnosis she didn't knoe what she would do .....I think that statement holds tru w/alot of ppl ....it's Devastating !!! ...but, it does get better ...and better and better .... ...u have to have believe n a HIGHER power and never ever give up hope.... ...with that said ....
I have been tryin to also focus on putting a book 2gether so I can tell our story ....Like I stated previously ...Autism is n now.... it's like everyone has a child on the spectrum ...
I think our story is unique bcuz ...we're not celebrities .... we r normal everyday ppl who happen to have a son who has autism. ...I cant call up celebrity friends to support /donate 2our foundation .... Oprah aint tryin to holla @ us. ...Keeping all that in mind ..I still believe we have a great story to tell ...I've been on my husband to buy me a laptop ...maybe having my own computer and being able to write wheneva I want to will spark a fire in me ... ...well until then my blog, my babe.. will have 2do....What I knoe now is:...N oda to walk, u must crawl first ...babe steps ....is how we're doin this thang .... baby steps ......puttin 1foot n frt of the otha!

I knoe, I knoe, I knoe...it's been a minute....I have been facebooking and twittering so much I neglected my babe!!!
Please 4give me ...my brother and best friend asked recently ..."u don't blog ne more???? u should start back blogging" ...well, here I am ....
I've changed around the layout of the blog a bit ...just 4 hopefully the WOW factor ....LOL ...and just something more and different to look @ ...I added CNN, a pic of me ..(which is usually a NO-NO....but, I am starting to feel more comfortable w/myself ..and realize ..it is what it is .)..I added a calendar, a list of some of my blog sites I frequently visit ...hopefully u like the new look and hopefully u can visit some of my blogsites and become readers of them also....
Today is actually the first full day of Malik being out of school ...which he luvs ! now I'm faced w/the challenge of entertaining him for a few days b4 he starts a camp ...I'm still deciding which one to actually send him to ...my first choice went up in smoke when after putting down what I thought was the full cost of the camp and was informed that ..NO that was registration fee ..I had to also pay $89 dollars a week on top of that ....WHAT!!! oh h##$$ naw! ....so, we quickly rethunk (yes I said thunk) ..our camp plans ....
Malik will most likely attend camp for the month of June then in July he will go to NYC to visit his cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends ..he's so excited .he sits here on the computer and pulls up UTube and watches videos of the metro buses in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens ...he also points to a magnet on the refrigerator of the WTC .....u think he's tryin to throw suttle hints....LOL ......For the month of July Shawn and I plan to spend quality time 2gether ...we haven't done it in possibly 15 years ... really ....we will be going to VEGAS babe ...(the perfect place to spend quality time rite ...lol ) ...so when Malik comes back we'll both be refreshed and renewed! That's the plan ...we'll c
Our young man is becoming bigger, stronger, and smarter each and every day .... and he eats like nobodies bid-ness....I'm so proud and in absolute love w/him
Yesterday, we did the Autism Walk in Atlantic Station ..that was our first time participating ....I thought it was really nice hot as all get out but, really nice ....I think they should have had ppl there to point u in the right direction and inform u of things but, no event is perfect rite .... Next year we'll be better equipped to really enjoy ourselves ... I will put a page up of for my friends and family to participate and sponsor us for the walk! ... As soon as I find the plug 2 the camera I will upload some pics ....well, here's hoping to talk to u real soon ...glad u stayed w/me .....it means the world !

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!
Here is a article I found in the Huffington Post about a 35year old young man who along w/autism has an unbelievable gift. He can draw entire cities from memory... They say, most children w/Autism usually have special gifts. Becuz, of they're in-ability 2either talk, socialize, and at times function in so called normal society they're other senses are hightenened. In this particular case Stephens photographic memory is his "gift." I believe Malik also has a remarkable special, special "gift" although, we r still searching .... In time, I knoe the gift will find us.....until then njoy this footage. It is absolutely amazing.!! .....
